Exhibition of Original Drawings "Karo & Piyobpt"

"Karo & Piyobpt" was produced by Yamamura Animation on 1992. After 31 years, a web comic with the same title was distributed from January 2024. To commemorate the 31st aniversary and the new series, the exhibition of original drawings of "Karo & Piyobpt".

Exhibition of Original Drawings and Prints of "Dozens of Norths" and Three Short Films

Original drawings and prints of four animated films, In the Big Yard Inside the Teeny-Weeny Pocket, A Bite of Bone, Polar Bear Bears Boredom and Dozens of Norths are exhibited and sold.

In commemoration of the 3-day limited theatrical release of "Dozens of Norths" and Three Short Films at Shin-Bungei-Za, Ikebukuro, January 27-29, we will exhibit and sell original animation drawings and Ziegler prints of Yano Honami 's "A Bite of Bone", Yuki Yoko's "In the Big Yard Inside the Teeny-Weeny Pocket", Koji Yamamura's "Polar Bear Bears Boredom" and "Dozens of Norths". The exhibition will also include the sale of Gigley prints.

Pärn's “KILPLASED” prints

May 5th - September 1st, 2018
Renowned Estonian animation director Priit Pärn created this series of 14 illustrations for KILPLASED (GOTHAMITES), a book about a village and the comical people who live there. He adopted Pieter Breugel's drawing style for the genre scenes that connect actions across multiple illustrations. Numerous motifs unfold simultaneously to give glimpses of fragments from the story and bring to mind Pärn’s animation films.
This exhibition features the complete set of KILPLASED giclee prints, which are also offered for sale.

ORDINARY DRAWINGS FROM
Theodore Ushev of LIPSETT DIARIES

We hold the original drawings by Teodore Ushev, a director from Bulgaria and Canada who has won various awards such as Academy Award nomination and Genie prize and is active in the world.

Drawing animation "Lipsett Diaries" is a work that attempted to reproduce the lost diary of Canadian legendary film artist Arthur Lipsett who was passt away at 49 years old. Draw the writer's inner face towards destruction with intense brush and calm gaze and present skepticism to existence.
We will exhibit and sell original drawings of "Lipsett Diaries" and image sketches of "Physics of Sadness" currently under construction.

Ryo Orikasa, Drawings

We hold an original drawings by Ryo Orikasa, an acclaimed animation artist who expresses the relationship between words and letters and images with experimental animation.
Ryo Orikasawho has won numerous awards at the international animation film festival of the world attracts attention not only in the animation related person but also in contemporary art world. Through this exhibition, we will approach the secret of the transformation of Orikasa who runs the tip of independent animation, the image swaying between meaning and figure.
Exhibits and sales of original drawings and drawings used for animation work, exhibition and sale of 23 drawings, as well as books and creative process diagrams that triggered creation.

”MYSELF LA”

Creator of the TV series "Tom" and winner of two Grand Prix awards at the Ottawa International Animated Film Festival, he has made an impact at film festivals around the world with his Country Trilogy and continues his energetic personal production as a leader in independent German animation Andreas Hucade. His animations and illustrations, which use rounded, soft and well-defined lines with intensity and unique depth, have been increasingly refined in recent years to their simplicity.
For her first solo exhibition in Japan, she will exhibit and sell 36 prints from "Myself LA," a series of original drawings based on her own experiences in LA. We hope you will enjoy Hucade's world of light and shadow, eros and thanatos in the midst of humor.

Karo & Piyobupt exhibition

The exhibition will feature original drawings from "Karo and Piyobpy" (directed by Koji Yamamura), which has been broadcast on NHK since 1993 and still retains a fresh appeal, original drawings from the comic "Like a Bird" ("Katei Gaho International", Sekai Bunka Sha, 2004~2005), and life-sized figures created at Expo 2005 Aichi, Japan (2005). Life-size figures created at Expo 2005 will be on display. Original goods will also be on sale.

Igor Kovalyov solo exhibition

Igor Kovalyov is a world-renowned animation dorector as his parsonal works and some industry animation from Russia and LA. We display and sell original prints by the artist.
His masterpiece "Milch" won the Grand Prix at seven film festivals and was acclaimed by Yury Norshtein as "one of the ten best animated films in the world, by James Joyce's standards. It is one of the 10 best animated films in the world.
